The Annual Paddies Awards 2011 – Nominees

It’s that time of the year again. Dried turkey is considered a delectable source of nutrition. Crap jokes are seen as acceptable dinner conversation. And insufferable cousins are permitted to fart loudly at dinner because they are considered ‘guests’. As well as it being the intolerable festive season, it’s also Awards Season. But before the SPOTY Debate starts to swill around like those unwanted cousins, we thought it best to announce the search for nominations for the Annual Paddies 2011.

If you give us one nominee for any of the categories below, we’ll put you in a draw for a £50 Free Bet. Just make your nomination in the Comments section!

Goal of the Year has to be either Rooney against City or Pat Sullivan against Partizan Belgrade..

  14. BlaineyBoy December 21, 2011 at 10:28 am #

Has to be Rooney V Citeh. Class goal and even better it was a derby game. Up there in the Gary Cahill school of bicycle kicks.

Football moment has to be the panic buys of Andy Carroll @ 35million and stupidity Torres being brought for 50million – 85mill between them and whilst they make girlie looking benchwarms, they can’t even hit a barn door. They should have both went in for Demba Ba….

The Twit is Emmanuel Frimpong – on a one man mission to get “Dench” into the English language. What a pleb.

Keegan Rant would be Tevez, never seen a player who loves to stay on the bench like him.

Mario Balotelli would need appear on any tv show, he is compelling viewing/reading and never a dull moment.

Swan lake award to Seb Larsson. Picture of beauty going through the air, only for the then penalty to be missed!

Frank Lampard penalty vs Man City. According to Ray Wilkins it was a wonder goal…….Errr Ray it was a penalty hit down the middle.

Twit Of the Year – Tweeter that proved he really is a bit of a dickhead. More than most.
Steve Kean. Not sure if he tweets, but all it would say is ‘Im not getting sacked, Ive got transfer targets’ constantly.

Keegan’s Rant Of The Year Award
Pat Nevin claiming on MOTD2 that when an attacker handballed the rest of the players stopped because it was a blatant penalty, and argued his case…..at least know the rules Nevin

Footballer Most Likely to Show Up In A Reality TV Show in 2023
Joey Barton will turn up in TOWIE, but uninvited and with weapons!

The Swan Lake Award For Diving
This guy taught Tom Daley all he knows.

But this one is the worst one. If he hadnt done it himself Im sure they were queueing up to help him!

Rant of the year has to be Harry Redknapp after the Stoke- Spurs games. Just for the bizarre statement that he has never criticised referees in “30 years of management” maybe he was so angry with Chris Foy he forgot he doesnt criticise referees.
