What a disappointing night!
Just as I and a lot of you were sitting down to a pint of the black stuff and 80 minutes of rip-roaring action, the French surrendered to the weather. (I couldn’t resist)
With no game, no winner and no fun we’re more than happy to pay out on the draw in the postponed Six Nations encounter between France v Ireland. Over €50,000 in winnings has been given to punters who backed the draw to bring some sunshine to an otherwise frustrating Saturday night. The sub-zero temperatures in the Stade de France called time on the match before a ball was kicked leaving fans and punters alike left disappointed.
Despite their less than impressive performance in the area of under soil-heating, France remain the 13/10 favourites for this year’s Six Nations with Ireland an unlikely 9/1. I take it the fixture will be rescheduled in Dublin. We’ll see what we can do about that too.
