David Haye and Dereck Chisora Have A Pointless Brawl

by Aidan Elder | February 19, 2012

Normally British boxers wait until after retirement from the ring to indulge in a career in panto, but David Haye and Dereck Chisora got involved in the kind of farce that would make Buttons blush in the aftermath of Chisora’s spirited defeat at the hands of Vitali Klitschko in Munich.

The former British heavyweight champion lasted about 11 and a half rounds more than most people had expected to take the elder Klitschko brother to the scorecards in their WBC title fight and in a bid to quickly cash-in on the ‘success’, the Chisora camp wasted no time in riling Haye into giving their man a fight. There were a lot of toe-based jibes before Chisora made his way down to Haye at the back of the room and what followed was a blur of punches, flashing cameras and girlish screams.

Anyway, here’s the clip. There is some swearing in it, so be warned if you’re easily offended by foul language or mockney accents.

Two fools who made a show of themselves, get the two of them in the ring to sort it all out eh

Totally agree, they should sort it out in the ring. I really don’t want professional boxing to turn into acted wrestling.

It’s good to see mediocre boxers (in a very, very, VERY mediocre H/W era) retain their dignity . . . er . . .
O.K., so DC did pretty well to last the full 12 rounds last night.

It’s just hype to up the interest for their potential upcoming “fight”. Grandpa Klitchko will barely have to get out of his rocking chair to dismiss the “winner” !
