Chelsea’s defeat to West Brom was the final straw for Blues owner Roman Abramovich. The Russian oligarch has decided to call time on Andre Villas-Boas’s short time at Stamford Bridge. It was inevitable given their recent form. From their Champions League hammering in Naples to, well, the presence of David Luiz, the writing has been on the wall for a long time for the Portuguese manager. It was always going to be a case of when not if.
Roberto Di Matteo is in charge till the end of the season, but attention has quickly turns to who’ll replace AVB at Stamford Bridge.

Give Benitez the job but sale Drogba, lampard, and cech the are our problem
Are you off your fookin’ meds???
It’s crazy to sack AVB at this stage, he had a 3 year plan and has only been given 6 month?? As it stands now, Chelsea aren’t going to win anything and most lightly not qualify for next years Champions League. Seriously, Abromavich should be looking to throw some older toys from his pram rather than managers.
Please don’t even mention Rafa and Chelsea in the same sentence, Jose needs to come back, no one else wil do.
Bring bak jose plz
jose won’t come back, he’ll be in arsenal nest year, swapping with wenger
brendan rogers
Could happen. Might be a bit soon for him though. His bread was buttered at Chelsea after all.
you have it spot on smoggie that is chelseas problem
Hiddink just took over at Anzhi, so no chance of getting him. Pep or Jose would be great. Hopefully Pep will stay another year at Barca though, then take over at Arsenal in 2013
Hiddink only joined Anzhi until the end of this season…
The stats don’t lie! Bring back Butch Wilkins…

Chelsea’s old guard is nearly @ an end! The spine of Cech, Terry, Lampard & Drogba don’t cut it anymore (thats when they even all start in the first 11) Cech, Luiz, Ramires & Torres just doesn’t sound the same! And as for bringing jose mourinho back the guy is obviously a great manager but always inherits great squads that are prepared to challenge for trophies.. This chelsea team is along way off winning anything and the last time he was around he had the old spine in there prime!
Cech was never the same after the head injury, Terry has been slow for years, Lampard has come to the end of his days, Drogba thinks he is the manager and Luiz is nearly as bad as Collocini at Newcastle…never in the right place with useless positional sense and can’t track back to save himself. I can’t believe Benitez is being talked of; useless and living on past half-glories. However, it’s the owner that needs to move on now. But above all else just remember that before Abramovich came along Chelsea were never talked of in the same breath as Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool and even Blackburn in the Jack Walker days!! Chelsea are the third-best team in London though West Ham might finish higher than the Blues next season so watch out…hahaha. Mourinho would clearly be the best at the job but why would he want it after the way he was dumped? I’d rather he took the England job anyway and he’d be way better than ‘Arry anyway….but don’t get me started on THAT!!
Kenny Dalglish after all they have took their stricker and midfielder.
bring back chelsea s real greatest ever manager ……..John Neal !!
