In the last few days Paddy Power has launched some new funky football pages. It’s the pages that are funky, by the way. Funky football isn’t some new type of sport we’re now taking bets on.
They’re pretty snazzy either way and they’ve got loads of special features we think you’ll find pretty useful. It’s hard to highlight just one bit of snazzy, but the Team Pages are really useful. Now you can select a team from the Premier League, Championship, Leagues 1 & 2, the SPL and even Euro 2012 and you’ll be taken to a dedicated page featuring the latest match odds, statistics, markets and competitions relevant to that particular team along with some really useful stats to help inform your betting decision.
It’s great because if you’re a supporter, it’s got all the markets on that team in one place so you can back them to win everything and every match ever. If you hate that particular team, you can back them to lose every match and back every other team in the competitions they’re involved in. A completely random example being the Liverpool page below.

You can also set a default team, so you’ll see their various odds automagically when you go to the team pages. We’ve also added a useful search bar, which does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s really straight forward, unless you haven’t used a computer in about 40 years. It’s so good, you can be incredibly lazy and just bang in the first three letters of what you’re looking for. It’ll start making suggestions and you can click on the one that you’re looking for, leaving you more time to live that incredibly lazy life you lead. Brilliant!

As ever, we’d like to hear what you think, so put your views, queries or suggestions for improvements that we can steal and pass off as my own in the comments section below.

I like this. I also like the sound of funky football. I assume this sport would involve Terry Phelan in a pair of winklepickers and a rastafarian wig?
I tried to set Aston Villa as my favourite team and the website laughed at me and a popup appeared saying ‘Don’t bother’. This new functionality is pretty helpful.
New changes are terrible for as long as I can recall the ability to line up football coupons in numerical order was a unique and useful feature now it takes forever to search all the games to find teams to add to a coupon and then once done the cache is too full and website refuses to load so must clear cache and start from begining. Using ctrl F was not all that complicated but the new system is painful
I’ve not recieved my free bet, Spurs should be markered as my favourite team.. can you help?
….and the Scottish 1st 2nd and 3rd Divisions miss out again
Interesting that no Irish teams listed. Irish bookie, eh?
