WE HAVE A WINNER
Congratulations to Gavin who, along with everyone else who could read the word ‘Mestalla’ written in big green letters on the side of the building, correctly identified this as Valencia’s Mestalla Stadium. Gavin’s ability to read has landed him a £25 free bet. Go education!

I recently had a few days off and some time to do what I love most – travel around Europe taking random photos of football grounds for use in Paddy Power Blog competitions.
In honour of Euro 2012 and travelling to the great economic basket-case that is continental Europe, we’re casting our eyes abroad for a series of competitions.
-
Each day up to the start of the tournament in Polkraine, we’ll post a picture of a random stadium from somewhere in Europe.
-
Using your cunning, guile and any clues you can decipher from the picture, you need to tell us the name of the stadium.
Apart from being really difficult, it’s actually quite simple.
It’s day four and again I think it’s an easy one. But I would say that because I used to run a Jon Bovi Jovi themed disco bar right across the street from this venue.
Send your answer to competitions@paddypower.com with or without the subject line ‘donde esta la biblioteca?’ Don’t put your answers in the comments section below because if you happen to be right, you’ll be giving everyone else the right answer.
It’s one guess per person, I’m afraid and if there’s no winner, the prize will roll over to the next day. If there’s more than one correct answer, then it’s all about my hat of ‘competition ending jeopardy’ and the winner will be drawn at random.
There’s a £/€25 Free Bet up for grabs and before you start saying ‘that’s way tighter than normal’, you’re right, but we are going to be running competitions each day. It may be a smaller prize, but you’re going to have more chances to win over the course of the next few days. Swings and Free Bet roundabouts.
Get your answers in before 10am tomorrow (Saturday, June 2) and I’ll announce the winner soon after.
Conditions
- Customers must be over the age of 18, have a valid paddypower.com account and be old enough to remember National Lampoon’s European Vacation, which is essentially the inspiration for this competition.
- Paddy Power decision is final and moaning will be ridiculed.

Those are the same cars as the ones on the Google Maps image. I’m beginning to think you never ran a disco bar there either? I don’t know what to believe any more.
Nothing suspicious about the cars, elflaco. It’s just me and the regulars (Paolo, Hans, Pieter, Julio and Francois) always used to leave ours cars there after a heavy night of Living on a Prayer.
Tank tops and Feather Boa’s and stealing club crests from the tops of Stadiums? Sounds like there’s a wild story there.
how do i go about scanning that picture in a search to get the answer? if its too much hassel i couldnt be arsed. Im sure most of your correct answers use this method and in fact know sfa about stadia in reality. maybe im just being cynical but cynical realism is the intelligent mans best excuse for doing nothing.
Tried it already Greenman. It does give some nice pictures of buildings around the world, but not the answer to the competition.
I was going to suggest South Bermondsey’s finest Millwall FC’s ground, but had pointed out to me that the nearby cars would be either smashed up or burnt out!
looks a bit like valley parade – and whats with the McEnroe look Aiden ?
hang on, isn’t that Paul Scholes’e Fiat Punto parked up there? It’s Old Trafford, school boy error there Aiden.
Yes….love the sneaky “Community” reference in the subject line…
GOT TO BE MONAGHAN UTDS FINE STADIUM
Too late for me, but I was thinking parc de princes?
