Former Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp is odds-on in Paddy Power’s online betting to replace Brendan Rodgers at Swansea City.
The Dutch ace is now assistant manager to former international team mate Frank De Boer’s at Ajax in Holland.
Swansea have been in the hunt for a new manager since Rodgers absconded to Liverpool last week to leave the Welsh club scurrying to find a replacement before the new season begins.
The Swans originally looked to bring in Roberto Martinez’s assistant at Wigan Graeme Jones but those talks seem to have broken down.
Bergkamp (49) signed for Arsenal in 1995 from Inter Milan and spent 11 years at the North London club winning three Premier League titles and four FA Cups winners’ medals.
Meanwhile, Chris Hughton is long odds on to replace Paul Lambert at Carrow Road after the former Celtic midfielder jumped ship to Aston Villa last weekend, while Ralf Rangnick remains the favourite to succeed Roy Hodgson at West Brom.
