Paddy Power pays out on Cilic winning Queen’s Final!

by Josh Powell | June 17, 2012

Paddy Power does not condone any violence in any sport, let alone the gentleman’s game of tennis.

So when David Nalbandian booted the advertising board into a poor old man’s shin and got disqualified in the Queen’s Final, Paddy not only refunded match bets but also paid out to punters who’d backed Marin Cilic for the match!

Paddy Power is the only bookie to payout to punters who had backed Cilic to win the match.

It may be a crime against fashion for the line judge to wear cream trousers but he didn’t deserve that healthy kicking. And punters don’t deserve to be short-changed because a tennis player went mad.

Not only that but Paddy Power does feel a bit for the punters who backed Nalbandian for the tournament outright. At the end of the day he was favourite for the match and could have gone on to lift the trophy.

So in the interest of fairness Paddy has refunded on everyone who backed Nalbandian outright as well!

That’s well over £60-thousand going back to punters with Wimbledon just around the corner.

shame you did not do the same when the boxing between rendall and quigg was stopped after 3 rounds due to a an accidental cut, should have been declared a no contest not a technical draw, robbery
