Paddy Power

Nadal Czechs out and punters cash in

by Josh Powell | June 29, 2012

Paddy Power is grumpier than Andy Murray today after punters had him emptying his pockets time and time again during a storming week at Wimbledon.

Paddy Power’s Money-Back Special to refund losing bets if your player was beaten in a deciding set has clicked a whopping 20 times already!

Not only that but yesterday Paddy’s flop insurance special came in as Rafael Nadal was sent crashing out at the hands of unknown Czech superstar Lukas Rosol!

Paddy couldn’t believe his eyes as every storming Rosol ground shot passed the flailing Nadal.

It was one of the biggest shocks in the history of the tournament as world number 100 Rosol beat Nadal who was heavily supported to win the whole thing. Luckily for punters who backed the Spaniard outright, Paddy refunded their bets to ease the pain.

It gets worse for Paddy though as he’s still got over a week of matches still to play! 20 games have already gone to a fifth set leaving him heading to the poor house and punters will keep getting refunded every time it happens.

Word in Power Tower is that Paddy is spending the rest of the tournament in a dark room unable to watch the drama on centre court and face another whopping pay-out.

Luckily for customers in England and Ireland they can enjoy watching the rest of the action which is being streamed live on PPtv.
