There has been further evidence this week that crying is the best way to win over the British public. Andy Murray’s tears on centre court reached out and touched a nation that had previously disliked the Scot and joked about his mum. Now on Big Brother the tears of Adam Kelly, a former member of the notorious LA Crips gang, have seen him move into 4/1 to be crowned the winner.
The woman that made the hard-man break down and cry was none-other than former Playboy bunny Shievonne Robinson. The 28-year-old took offence to Adam branding her ‘fake’ and launched into a full-blown row with the ex-gang member.
There is nothing like seeing a former criminal break down and cry to stir up public emotion and consequently Shievonne is now the favourite to be evicted at 4/6 with Paddy Power. Gangsters have feelings too.
Shievonne has been nominated by her fellow housemates for the first time and she is up against Conor McIntyre. Conor is no stranger to the public vote after getting nominated time and time again for his silly pranks and ‘bullying’ of Deanna Uppal.
Deanna is one of the public’s front-runners and is 5/1 to be crowned the winner but has a hostile relationship with 24-year-old Conor. Over the last few weeks Conor has branded the current Miss India UK ‘selfish’, ‘sneaky’ and ‘two-faced’. He then opted for a more aggressive verbal attack and sparked over 1000 Ofcom complaints after calling her a ‘piece of shit’ and threatening to lamp her.
Unsurprisingly, considering he seems quite unpleasant, Conor is 11/10 to get the boot on Friday night. The betting each week suggests he is easily one of the most disliked housemates but the chances are he could survive again up against Shievonne.
If you want to avoid the wrath of the British public, don’t make a former gang-member cry.
