Backers of Urban Space thought they were on to a good thing when they backed the 5/4 favourite for 6.30 Windsor. The John Flint trained six year old was well fancied to land the seventh victory of his career, but sadly his challenge got no further than the starting gates. The horse knuckled as the gates opened, putting paid to his chances of victory and disappointing supporters of the well-backed favourite.
While other bookies and betting exchanges point to the part of the of rule book that says ‘Tough Luck’, we’re doing the decent thing and refunding all bets on the favourite. They didn’t get a run for their money, so it’s only fair and that means there’s over £20,000 winging it’s way back towards the accounts of customers.

why doesnt every1 follow suit bravo PP
Your Hearing us Paddy , this is the most annoying Rule in Uk racing
‘A proper bookmaker’
I like it when you do this, but you’re horribly inconsistant. You only seem to refund when it suits you. There are countless examples of you pointing to the “tough luck” section of your rule book ;(
Hi Ben, how’s life at Eurobet? ; )
I don’t agree that we’re horribly inconsistent. If you think we’re inconsistent, that’s your own opinion and that’s fair enough, but I’d prefer that to the consistency of other bookies and betting exchanges – the ones who consistently won’t give you any refunds regardless of how unfair it is on punters.
Eurobet? If you mean Gibraltar, yeh, Gibraltar is good. As a punter i’m grateful for the random refund, but it ultimately means i get my hopes up the next time it happens.Getting any refund is a rare occurance, although others may automatically expect it from now due to the way you wrote this blog. Did you refund Newfangled?
Thanks Paddy, a bookie with a conscience and morals. WHAT A RARETY !!!
