Lewis McGugan might not be a household name in the world of football but he scored an absolute beauty for Nottingham Forest last night.
In a cracking game against Bolton the 23-year-old thundered a screaming volley in off the bar to open the scoring in spectacular fashion.
The game ended 2-2 with Ireland midfielder Andy Reid netting a well-taken equaliser just before the hour mark. Reid looks like he’s been staying away from those pesky late night kebabs, and took his goal very nicely indeed.
Forest are unbeaten in their opening three Championship games and are an appealing 12/1 with Paddy Power to win the league and 4/1 for promotion. Bolton are still the favourites to finish the season on top of the Champo at 15/2.
