SUPERMAN: Team GB’s David Wetherill pulls off a ridiculous winner

Without question probably the best Paralympic table tennis shot you will ever see.

22-year-old David Wetherill represented Team GB at the games and has become an online sensation after pulling off an unbelievable right-handed ‘Superman shot’.

The world number five was unfortunately beaten by Italy’s Raimondo Alecci and is out of the tournament but nobody will forget this winning shot against Germany anytime soon.

The crowd at the ExCel Arena rose to their feet as Wetherill produced a moment of magic at a crucial stage of the game and was roundly applauded by both sets of coaches.

Understandably the young Briton was disappointed to be eliminated but happily tweeted about his incredible shot.
