American Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III has named Dustin Johnson (28), Jim Furyk (42), Brandt Snedeker (31) and Steve Stricker (45) as his four Ryder Cup wildcard picks.
Only Brandt Snedeker is a Ryder Cup rookie with Furyk (eight times), Striker (twice) and Johnson (once) all having experienced the unique demands of a Ryder Cup showdown.
The quartet join automatic qualifiers Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, Jason Dufner, Keegan Bradley, Webb Simpson, Zach Johnson and Matt Kuchar in the US team to face Europe at Medinah on September 28th-30th.
Other Wildcard possibles Hunter Mahan, Rickie Fowler and Nick Watney all missed out.
Europe have beaten the United States in four of the last five competitions.
