Celtic and Chelsea stalemates spark huge Paddy Power refund

by Aidan Elder | September 19, 2012

Chelsea fans weren’t too chuffed about throwing away a two goal lead at home to Juventus, but some Paddy Power customers will be happy with the comeback from the Italian champions. Likewise, Celtic supporters would have wanted more than a point on home soil, but the stalemate has come in handy for punters.

We were running a Money-Back Special across this week’s Champions League matches involving the four English and one Scottish team. And thanks to the draws at Stamford Bridge and Celtic, it has clicked, meaning a huge refund across the two games.

Because it finished in a draw, we’re refunding all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score and Scorecast singles on the two matches. It means that we’re giving back over £60,000 to customers.

It’s a whopping refund and there’s every chance there’s more on the way. We’re offering the exact same Money-Back Special for two huge Premier League games this Sunday. If the Liverpool v Manchester United game or the Manchester City v Arsenal game finish in a draw, we’ll again refund losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score and Scorecast singles on that match!
