Andy Gray exclusive: Chelsea to win by two goals

Andy Gray blog byline

CFR Cluj v Manchester United, 7.45pm, ITV1

Manchester United need to get their defence sorted at the moment. They’re leaking goals and while the focus is on them you’d have to ask whether they’re getting enough protection in front of them.

Is Nani doing enough and are the likes of Paul Scholes and Michael Carrick doing enough in midfield to protect the centre-backs?

I think United will score and they’ll win even though they won’t play their strongest side. Darren Fletcher should get another run-out on his road to recovery.

I’d take United at 4/6 to win in Paddy Power’s online betting and Wayne Rooney to score first at 4/1 or at anytime at 11/10.

Spartak Moscow v Celtic, 5pm,  Setanta & Sky Sports 2

It’s difficult to see Celtic breaking down Spartak Moscow but what have the Bhoys to lose?

Spartak’s home record is fantastic but Celtic have got better in recent games and have kept a couple of clean sheet which should help them

But the Moscow side look a fair bet at 4/7. Celtic may be lucky and sneak a draw but I can’t see them winning the game.

FC Nordsjaelland v Chelsea, 7.45pm, Sky Sports 2

There’s the length of the M1 between these two sides. Chelsea are the reigning European champions and Nordsjaelland are a Danish Division One side.

The Blues are 2/5 in Paddy Power’s online betting and that’s about right. They will make changes but they mustn’t get sloppy because you can come unstuck against European opposition – especially in their own back yard.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Nordsjaelland scored one goal which is a 6/4 chance - but I think Chelsea should win comfortably – at least by two goals.

A 3-1 scoreline gets you 10/1 for your hard-earned money in tonight’s game.
