Paul Nicholls has his debut runner for leading owner and legendary punter JP McManus when Mr Mole lines up in the 2.40 at Exeter today.
A 12-length winner of his bumper at Hereford Mr Mole was bought privately by McManus and the four-year-old will be ridden by champion jockey AP McCoy.
Trainer Paul Nicholls said:
Mr Mole definitely is one for the future, a chaser in the making.
Half an hour later the Philip Hobbs’-trained Bold Henry - who was a last fence faller at Kempton in April when well clear of the field – runs in the famous green, white and gold colours after McManus bought the six-year-old in a private deal.
