As the New England Patriots were royally spanking the St Louis Rams 45-7 at Wembley on Sunday, elsewhere in the NFL one player had to defy the laws of gravity to secure a win for his team.
With the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans locked at 13-13 in over-time, Colts receiver Vick Ballard thumbed his nose at Isaac Newton and his spurious laws as he leapt, spun and momentarily took flight to get in to the end zone for a 19-13 Colts win.
Not just is this one the plays of the weekend but it could be one of the plays of the NFL season. With diving skills like this Ballard could be a Premier League striker…who plays for Liverpool….called Luis Suarez. Enjoy.
