Sunderland v QPR, Tuesday, 7.45pm
Harry Redknapp is back in management and takes QPR to Sunderland for his first game in charge. The former Spurs manager has never won an away game when taking charge of a side for the first time and I don’t think he’ll break that unenviable record tonight either.
Martin O’Neill’s side lost at home to the surprise packages of the season West Brom at the weekend and the Black Cats manager will make sure his side are fired up for this clash. It’s a home win for me at 7/5.
Aston Villa v Reading, Live, Sky Sports 2, 8pm
A relegation six pointer between Aston Villa and Reading and both teams desperately need the win as they sit 18th and 19th in the Premier League.
Neither side are winning too many games but Villa are due a victory after two very good performances against Manchester United – although they lost 3-2 when 2-0 up – and holding Arsenal 0-0 last Saturday evening.
Brian McDermott’s side are getting to grips with life in the fast lane and he’s made his side harder to beat these past couple of weeks. But Villa are an established top tier side and I fancy them to get all three points tonight.
If you take the performances rather than the bare results I think 10/11 is a fair price and I’d be interested in some of that.
