Andy Gray: If Millwall score first at 10/11 Aston Villa could crumble

Expert football pundit and analyst Andy Gray was on the ball with an 11/1 double and 5/1 treble in the last round in the FA Cup. He’s joined The Paddy Power Blog to give his insight on the fourth-round matches coming up all weekend.

Millwall v Aston Villa, Friday, 7.45pm

Millwall are ninth in the nPower Championship and Aston Villa are fourth from bottom in the Premier League and falling. This is a very tough situation for Paul Lambert after his side went out to Bradford City in the Capital One Cup semi-final on Tuesday night.

This is a real test of character for the Villains. Their confidence is on the floor right now and they face a Millwall side who will be bang at it to try to claim a Premier League scalp. It says something when a top-tier side is not strongly fancied to advance against a lower division team – but that’s where Villa are right now.

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett will urge his side to get the first goal.  The Lions are 10/11 to score first in Paddy Power’s betting [Tweet this tip] and if they do it will be a hard night’s work for the Premier League side.

Villa should be able to come away with at least a drop but from what I’ve seen in the past few weeks it wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a shock on the cards at the new Den tonight.
