SNOW HOPE: Paddy Power keeps you up to date with where and when racing is going ahead today
Friday January 25th
It’s a good job horse like running on sand because today’s four meetings come from the all-weather outposts of Kempton, Lingfield, Wolverhampton and Dundalk in Ireland. Doncaster and Huntingdon’s National Hunt meetings fell by the wayside earlier in the week and jumps fans will be praying that Cheltenham’s Trial Day goes ahead tomorrow.
There was a course inspection at 8am Friday morning, but it was indecisive and the clerk of the course, Simon Claisse had said they will inspect again tomorrow morning. One of the main players – Cheltenham Gold Cup favourite Bobs Worth – has already been ruled out of the Argento Chase.
Nicky Henderson’s Hennessy winner may now head straight to the Festival without a prep run but Champion Chase contender Sprinter Sacre – the subject of a £50k bet with Paddy Power – will get his eye in the VC Chase on the same card.
If you fancy something a little more exotic there’s live streaming from South Africa and South America.
