Paddy Power punter wins €33k after perfect €10 accumulator bet

Ten was the lucky number for one Paddy Power punter when he backed 10 morning favourites to win €32,600 from his €10 accumulator on horse racing from the UK and Ireland.

The Leinster-based customer, who wishes to remain anonymous, faced an agonising wait to collect his winnings as he had to endure a steward’s enquiry before the final leg of his accumulator, Atmospheric High, was declared the winner after a race at Dundalk, Co Louth, on Friday night.

A spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “Having faced a steward’s enquiry on the last leg it’s fair to say that he’s earned it, this is truly weapons grade punting and I hope he enjoys his winnings!”

Taking into account all those prices and his 10euro that would only make €27850.80, where’s the extra 6 grand comin from????

Hi – customer benefited from ‘guaranteed prices’ or what we now call Winning Odds Promise. That means that if some of the odds drift – you will get the better price. Or, if the prices shortens, you will keep the price you backed the horse at. So customer pocketed an extra six grand thanks to Paddy’s Winning Odds Promise.

Do Paddy Power not pay First Past The Post anymore??
If ye do then the Stewards Enquiry would not have made a difference to the punters winnings surely?

We do pay double result in UK and Irish racing, but some punters might not be aware of this therefore he could have had a sweat in the steward’s room…
