It’s been a long time coming but we’ve finally released our new Bet Slip Version 1.999999 (Beta).

Thanks to everyone that commented on our previous blog post with suggestions. We tried to take on board everyone’s ideas but some just weren’t possible. For example one smart arse wanted the winners before the event happened. We’re still working on a flux capacitor for that one, but rest assured you’ll be 2nd to know when it happens. Well 3rd after we take our competitors to the cleaners.
We have crammed in a lot of your suggestions including:
- New In-line version of the betslip that follows you down the page.
- Option to retain the betslip as a pop-up
- One click “Add to bet slip” links
- Ability to create multiple bet types on one slip
- Ability to apply one amount to multiple singles
- Remove certain selections without removing all selections
- Winnings calculated on the fly (done wherever info is available)
- Option to retain your selections after you place your bet
- Intuitive “Further Info” links
- Enhanced price change alerts (betslip preference settings)
For more information, have a glance at our betslip tutorial.
Please keep the suggestions coming as when we get really bored in the office and Paddy won’t let us go home, we read them.
Thanks,
Web Team

Feedback from Web Team
Over 24 hours and a few hundred thousand successful bets placed on the new betslip since we went live with it yesterday morning.
As with any new development there have been a few teething problems that we are working hard on fixing. Thanks for all of your feedback, both good and bad, as it helps us to look at issues that are important to you.
We have been working on a new betslip, specifically in response to requests received from customers over the past year, including the suggestions that came through the blog.
Many of you have posted to say “If it isn’t broken…” It’s true that the betslip worked, but it didn’t do all the things people were asking for. We are constantly looking at ways to improve things, allowing you to get bets on faster and more easily. We really do believe that the new slip enables you this.
We will hold our hands up and say that we should have given you more warning and apologise for that, we will definitely look at how we communicate these changes to you in the future.
A lot of feedback has been centred around the size of the text on the site. We are actively looking at increasing this and hope to have something for you very soon.
A number of other issues seem to be based on placing in-running betting. Again we are working on resolving issues with this and have already taken some steps to improve this.
As always we are pushing to improve the speed of the site and like any new development we will be working on this as well over the next couple of days.
One of the main improvements with the new betslip is that it presents you with all your betting options on one screen. The multiples section is directly underneath your singles section. This allows you to combine any single selections you have made into multiple bets. The multiple options will appear once one or more selections are added. One thing to note on this – if your selections cannot be combined into a multiple then the multiple option won’t appear. If the selections you have made are combinable and you are still experiencing problems then please contact our customer service team and they will help you out.
I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that for specific issues our free Customer service team are here and ready to help you please call them on

We will also be launching a “How to” video tomorrow to help you all out.
Please, keep the feedback coming as it’s not ignored…

Further Feedback from Web Team
There have been a few comments about the betslip not working across all browsers.
We tested the new betslip rigorously to ensure that it worked on as many browsers as possible, including Firefox and Safari.
We can see that successful bets are being placed on all of these versions (Accounting for 99.5% of all of our users preferences).
Internet Explorer 7
Internet Explorer 6
Firefox 2
Firefox 1.5
Safari 3.1.1 (On a Mac and a PC)
(Note: we don’t support Opera but we will be trying to fix some problems we have uncovered in due course)
If you are still having problems it may due to the browser settings. Please contact our free customer support and they will help you. Some browser problems only occur on certain operating systems (e.g. Microsoft Windows Vista) so it may help to have those details as well.

Further Feedback from Web Team
A lot of feedback we have received was about the size of the text on the Betslip. We have now increased this so it is the same as the other text on the site and you are right, it does look better.
We have also added in extra information to the Fore/Tricast options for racing bets so you can see the selections you have added and the order in which they will be placed.

Paddy has put together a new video tutorial to run though the new Betslip functionality. If you’re having problems placing bets, hopefully this will be helpful. Click on the image to launch the video.

May 27th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
The new bet slip is a work of art, well done and thanks!
May 27th, 2008 at 6:07 pm
Rubbish so far
Just cost me £50 e/w on the first at Ballinrobe. Rushed home from work just before 6. Switched online. Put money in my account. Tried 3 times to get £50 e/w on Ajman at 10/1. Could not get the bl**dy thing to work.
Probably when I get used to it, it will be ok but not a good start.
Why not give us Luddite types some warning when this new IT is going to come in?

May 27th, 2008 at 6:09 pm
it is awful print is far too small very user unfriendly goodbye
May 27th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
change it back this is not easy to use.i liked using paddy power because it was easy this is not
May 27th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
If it isn’t broken why fix it….and if you ask my you just brke it! disaster. I have perfect 20/20 vision but you need a telescope to read this bet slip. Tumbs up on the rest of the web site though.
May 27th, 2008 at 7:01 pm
I can’t get it to work - I keep clicking “bet now” on my selection but it doesn’t put the bet on.
May 27th, 2008 at 7:01 pm
All NEW BET SLIP, Just cost me winning bet at 19:50 Huntingdon, orfeo conti, due to no notice given of your super new betslip, the race was off before I found your miniture window of to screen right, so you owe me, e5.00c on a 9/4 winner, [probably only winner would have had tonight], ya muppets
May 27th, 2008 at 7:06 pm
please give back old one!!!!!!!! last one was wery easy to use
May 27th, 2008 at 7:10 pm
This is rubbish - bring back the old system or I’m going elsehere
May 27th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
i agree with every one, its a nightmare to use nothink wrong with the way it was so why change it, please change it back, or ill look for a better betting site cause i cant use this, its a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May 27th, 2008 at 7:16 pm
The old one was good enough, this new one does not work with firefox i had to use i explorer which i hate doing. Get my bet on though
May 27th, 2008 at 7:20 pm
what was wrong with the old one, this is far too small, why do things always change for no good reason.might stop betting if get problems with it.
May 27th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
betting slips a lot better,no waiting for multiple selections allthe time. stopmoaning its much quicker.
May 27th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
It took me a few mins to get used to it but its now class.
May 27th, 2008 at 7:52 pm
Its an improvement on the old one, but its still not great. The info bar is annoying as you have to keep highlighting it to double check what market your betting on and its also too small.
May 27th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
Hi Paddy, The new betslip Just cost YOU my losing 1st bet in an e/w yankee 7pm at Ballinrobe as it keeps warning inappropriately about the CV no & won’t let us past this- my account is set up with a debit card & doesnt use the cv no - had to phone in the e/w patent instead.
But thanks to this gaf it may result in a better share price of your shares tomorrow!!
So swings & roundies you may have save me a bob or two. Tried the binoculars on the betslip also but settled for the magnifying glass - You must be expecting the favourite to win thro the card or something or you have just about made enough from us Saddos that you dont want to do any more trade!!! I want to start the ‘
Ditch the new bring back the OLD betslip campaign
Ps would you be doing a double on the old betslip coming back with a NO @ Lisbon by any chance?
May 27th, 2008 at 8:14 pm
Take an example from a really professional site like E*Trade, they introduce a new feature like this but they also add links on pages and views so as to ensure you can still access the old functionality (especially if you are in a rush and this new functionality is forced upon you).
I just wanted to put a quick double on and I am presented with this new bet slip when its a minute before the off? No way could I get bet on in time so thanks you probably saved me a few bob.
What was wrong with the old one? Did customers ask for these changes? Why are ye attempting to complicate what was excellent bet slip functionality?
Why all these changes in such a short period? (i.e. site re-vamp).
Also can I
PLEASE CAN I HAVE THE ABILITY TO HAVE MY BALANCE ALWAYS DISPLAYED BASED ON A USER PREFERENCE VIA THE SETTING PAGE???
CAN I ALSO SEE RACECARDS THE WAY THEY ARE DISPLAYED IN OTHER MEDIA SUCH AS NEWSPAPERS AND RP ONLINE?
Other than that the site is great
Personally I will go back to the Java App on my phone as it is excellent and all in PP who were involved with its implementation should be congratulated! !!
May 27th, 2008 at 8:18 pm
cost me money can`t get bet on going somewhere else
May 27th, 2008 at 8:24 pm
disaster!!i didnt know wat was goin on, wat ding dong thought of dat!!please bring back the old one
May 27th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
what have you done? this new bet slip is ott. looking at a new web site why have you changed it? i could not put a bet on tonight! change it back before you loose!!!
May 27th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
Did you get the people who are able write a sonnet on a pinhead to create that betting slip?
May 27th, 2008 at 8:31 pm
Its very good
But you guys have to sort out the fact that JC Ferrero and D Ferrer can never be added on the same betslip!
May 27th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Another load of Rubbish, - when are you going to stop trying to reinvent the wheel? Have you never heard the phrase if it aint broke don’t try and fix it!
Like others who have commented it’s too small and cumbersome to use efficiently when trying to get bets on in quick time, ie just before the off. More and more reason PP keep racking up for closing the account and going elsewhere! The new look website with failing live price pages just before Cheltenham being a major no no, now followed u with this ludicrous slip from the meddling morons of PP IT
May 27th, 2008 at 8:46 pm
Hi, Me again - just tried to put another bet on and it tells me to check my account history as bet may have already been placed by ‘Unknown’. Bejeesus Paddy, what the £$!* is going on?????
May 27th, 2008 at 8:51 pm
It doesn’t work!
May 27th, 2008 at 9:06 pm
The new betslip is abolutely rubish, took me 20attempts with i dont know how many error messages, i missed out on a lot of livebets that would have won. Fix this problem, its far too slow. You can forget livebetting with this betslip, by the time u get a bet placed, the Team already scored!
May 27th, 2008 at 9:26 pm
A step in right direction.no more time wasting.
Thank you.
May 27th, 2008 at 10:17 pm
Print to small wanted to do accumulator couldn’t work it out gave up and had three singles
Not clear enough before you could just press add to selection and hey presto it was done.
May 27th, 2008 at 10:36 pm
A little bit of prior warning would have been nice, however after a few minutes worked it out and quite like it.
May 27th, 2008 at 11:02 pm
I like to bet with you paddy but, after all this time, you are miles behind BO, BF, BS etc.
I like to back ew dbles and trebles and you still do not have this facility. I also like to back home, draw or away on football.
You offer great value but limit the punter’s ability to take advantage.
May 27th, 2008 at 11:16 pm
The bet slip is not very user-friendly at all, it is too time-consuming and quite frankly it is a nuisance! Yes, I also agree that the print is far too small! I will be placing my bets somewhere else in the future if you decide to keep this.
May 28th, 2008 at 12:02 am
Hate pop-ups! Don’t web designers understand that they are time-consuming and have browser and plug-in compatibility issues? Flashy graphics may look nice, but it ain’t much use when it crashes your PC and you can’t place a bet!
May 28th, 2008 at 12:08 am
much better and quicker! just sort out your in running betting and i’ll be happy! and your tennis prices are crap!
May 28th, 2008 at 12:14 am
Where’s the “add-to-multislip” button I used to use all the time. Not for me. Unless it gets sorted I think you’ll lose customers over this.
May 28th, 2008 at 12:39 am
Was thinking of having a cricket bet, but think I will just go to bed instead - yawn. Not too bothered about the layout of your betting slip. However, you have missed out one item which I think is more helpful to the punter than anything else and that is - how much money can be staked at the price you are offering. There is nothing more annoying than depositing what you want to stake and then find that only a percentage can be placed, then it takes 3 to 4 days to get the balance of your money back. Some bookies even frown on punters not staking all of their deposit (on whatever else), before withdrawing it again.
May 28th, 2008 at 12:55 am
Beg your pardon Paddy, you have got a “max” button, so that gripe did not stand up. Must say though, that its pretty small and probably why I did not spot it straight away. I see that some others have complained about the size of some of your new features. They have a point.
May 28th, 2008 at 4:44 am
This new bet slip is absolute rubbish. I tried to put a bet on the Bohs v Pats game (BIR) and the system just would not accept it. I tried three times with no luck. To make things worse I was betting on Bohs to win so it cost me money. I will be closing my account with Paddy Power if the old and I have to say perfect system of betting is not promptly re-instated. In short very disappointed with Paddypower.com.
Paul Jones.
May 28th, 2008 at 8:05 am
hate the new slip….tiny writing and user unfriendly…couldnt get a bet on the tennis ???
May 28th, 2008 at 8:09 am
The old one was fine,i am not a happy man,i placed a double on - 2.5 goals nigeria and czech game the bet was on and yes i okd the bullet proof grey box ,i later checked the results and won,,but oh no there is no record of it,,i use your site a lot and this is a first and cost me a good chunk of money,,explain please,,Dave
May 28th, 2008 at 8:30 am
Will reserve judgement on new slip until after I can get the each way function to work !!!
May 28th, 2008 at 8:54 am
Bring back the old bet slip. This is not what the punter needs. You can’t see all the details on one slip like the old one. Clicking the “i” button to see the race details is not what we need, especially if you are doing acculators. You also need 20/20 vision and it’s slow. This bet slip was designed by people who do not bet. Please remove this new bet slip and bring back the old one which was quick and easy!!!!
May 28th, 2008 at 9:16 am
Love the new Bet Slip lads.Im a firefox nut so glad to see its working in that browser.
Could place bets quick and fast. Did the business ! Well done
May 28th, 2008 at 9:27 am
I do like it, but I can see that it would cause some people problems, especially with the smaller print. My advice would be to put it back to how it was. More user-friendly all round I’d say.
May 28th, 2008 at 9:54 am
quite preferred the old one
May 28th, 2008 at 9:54 am
I agree with Chris leave it as it was
May 28th, 2008 at 10:02 am
I agree with all the punter’s that say’s this is a load off rubbish go back to the old way or lose punters
May 28th, 2008 at 10:18 am
Being an older punter I do find the text a bit hard to read but I can increase that in internet explorer. I do that for certain sites like play.com. I dont see what all the fuss from the disgruntled punters is about. I suppose some people do not like change.
May 28th, 2008 at 10:23 am
At first I thought the new slip was not going to be OK but once I got the hang of it I found it easy and in fact better to use than the old. It overcomes some of the IT problems that the old system encountered
May 28th, 2008 at 11:31 am
I like the layout much better but it doesn`t always seem to work so its annoying me now
May 28th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
ABSOLUTLY BRILLIANT MUCH BETTER FOR MULTIPLE BETTING I KOPT ON TO IT BY FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTION LOVE IT TOOK ME A FEW MINUTES NO PROB AFTER THAT GREAT CHANGE GERARD MC LERNON
May 28th, 2008 at 12:27 pm
U WOULD WANT TO BE AN IDDIOT NOT TO BE ABLE NOT 2 USE IT GET A LIFE OR GLASSES IF U CANT OR STOP GAMBLING GER
May 28th, 2008 at 12:31 pm
GER SYAYS IF U LEAVE U WILL BE BACK I DID CAME BACK TAIL BETWEEN MY LEGS BEST WEBSITE GOING NOT ALWAYS WITH THE PRICES BUT VER GOOD SITE SO GOOD LUCK GORDIE TOM U WILL BE BACK GER
May 28th, 2008 at 12:33 pm
The new betslip is a disaster
Also the whole site is gone much much slower and that’s with Broadband
Anyone on dial up God help them
The old slip was fine and we were all used to it.
Why change for change sake??
A big mistake
May 28th, 2008 at 12:35 pm
Well the first time i seen the new bet slip was last night i tried in frustration to place several bets but when i pressed the bet now button nothing happened i mean i can understand peoples frustration with a minute before a race you could place several bets with the old bet slip but this one you need at least 5 mins+.
What really annoys me is that i love picking several selections in on event against another but this won’t allow me to do this it is a non perm friendly bet slip!
Before all these changes the site was brilliant and easy to the eye so one thing worries me now and thats will i miss out on placing a winning selection because of the bet now button not working???
May 28th, 2008 at 12:41 pm
ITS OK BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE GIVIN SOME WARNING’ AS I LOST A GOOD BET TRYING TO SORT IT OUT’ AND TYPE TO SMALL. NEXT TIME GIVE A VIDIO SHOW ON HOW IT WORKS BEFOR YIOU LET IT LOOSE ON US. STILL WILL GET MY MONEY BACK I WOULD HAVE WON. NEVER MIND.
May 28th, 2008 at 12:46 pm
super - really makes it a lot quicker and a lot less Java errors
May 28th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
Absolute rubbish, why change it.I cant get any bets on now cos it doesnt work.
May 28th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
Will not let me put any doubles or trebles on just singles . Is it just me?
May 28th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
I wanted to do the two up coming England matches on different days . anyother bet seems to work. Glitch ?
May 28th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
Cant get it to work. Am going elsewhere.
May 28th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
What a load of rubbish. Tried 2 get a bet on the tennis BIR and it just wouldnt accept. Bring back the old system
May 28th, 2008 at 1:52 pm
In fairness to pp they are always trying to improve things
But there is the argument if it aint broke why fix it.
Most of us don’t care about graphics we just want to bet and enjoy
As I said earlier the site is gone really slow and the betslip is now tiny
If it’s possible please go back to the old slip
May 28th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
NO warning, why?
Dont like it. This can cost users money trying to get a quick bet on.
Bring back the other way or at least have it as an option in the settings or i am going to another site.
May 28th, 2008 at 3:00 pm
I rather the new bet slip so far, Stop ya complaining bout it size!! far easier to scroll thorugh multiple pages and add to slip and see you slip all the time!
May 28th, 2008 at 3:10 pm
The whole idea of in running betting is to get on quick and try and beat you guys, not a chance unless its a 26 mile marathon event,,its crap,no really crap
May 28th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
Terrible, its miles too fiddly, have just had an EW, but after checking the win, my place part hasnt gone on!
It is also slower to load up, so easy to miss a price!
Put the old one back, and come bakc when you have something workable!
May 28th, 2008 at 3:36 pm
cant seem to put a comb f/c+t/cast on at same time
May 28th, 2008 at 5:02 pm
The quicker we get back on the paddypower bet slip the better. it is my Birthday
Sat.31 05 08. And if the paddypower bet slip is not returned by then, i want be placing any more bets with paddypower. Never. I intended betting on football tonight, but not now. mortonhugh1.
May 28th, 2008 at 5:13 pm
Quite Simply……IT DOES NOT WORK…!!!
May 28th, 2008 at 5:20 pm
Blimey, people who can’t use this must be Tick!
It’s ****ing Brilliant…well done pp
May 28th, 2008 at 5:32 pm
I liked the old system, this may be better but it takes a while of getting used to. also if you want to place a singles bet whilst composing a multi bet ,there is no opportunity to create a sepearte betting slip so you have to remove all selections and then place a singles bet. By the time you take the buffering and the last minute tips from sports live (so flipping frustrating)you miss the start of the race……
Can you ensure we can have two slips at one time ,,,thanks
Julian
May 28th, 2008 at 6:32 pm
Hey Al I’m not but if they want to pay me for the publicity I won’t say no
May 28th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
100 times better
May 28th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
It works very well but the print is a little too small for easy use!
May 28th, 2008 at 7:02 pm

Hi guys…
I’m sorry it’s a disaster. so far i have lost 3 winning bets.It is really annoying that you make changes to something that works perfectly well.
At least run both options for a 2 week period before forcing changes on us. your IT team should ber ashamed of themsleves.
a very aggrevied customer

May 28th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
Thought the site was broken at first, trying to get a bet on for the England match! Until I read on the right about he new payslip.
Need time to get used to is I guess although I knew where I was with the old method. How about an option to have Betslip Classic and Betslip Advanced so we can choose which method we prefer?
May 28th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
hate it.shouldve left it as is was.please go back to the old format!
May 28th, 2008 at 7:37 pm

it doesnt paddy.
hope this helps
May 28th, 2008 at 7:40 pm
Quite a few negative comments on here so just thought i’d say I like the new betslip. I can understand the people saying ”if it’s not broken don’t fix it” but I think it’s at least on the same level as before, and personally I prefer the new slip. That said, I do agree with the person who said the new system should have been run alongside the old one for 2 weeks.
Anyway, I found it very easy to use, quicker to add and remove slections and my bet went through first time so no complaints here.
May 28th, 2008 at 7:52 pm
much improved - still the best betting website - stop moaning - (singing when you’re winning!)
May 28th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
fantastic new idea well done - much easier to use
May 28th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
Usless gimmick that won’t work properly on my Mac. Maybe it’s to so with ’safari’ but I’ve had to use my mobile phone to make bets! Missed a few winners last night.
If it aint broke, why fix it? Give us a choice……..
May 28th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
Also…….am seriously considering going to a different betting site if this gimmick continues to reject my bets. It works on ‘Explorer’ (tried it today) but that is not the system I have at home
May 28th, 2008 at 8:25 pm
Easy to use, i was happy with the previous betting slip, but if if this the way forward? then so be it.
May 28th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
A pity you didn’t try this out first to establish that ALL your customers could use the thing. Like your previous messager it doesn’t work on a Mac using Safari. It beggars belief that your IT department believed everyone was on Explorer using a PC. Get real !!!
May 28th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
Get with the times ppl, this is far better. “if it’s too small change your screen resolution” or go to specsavers!!!!. I can see it fine!! well done PP. Like the scroll at the side rather than having a huge betslip.
I agree with the request for the results before the race tho
never going to please every1. damned if you do… damned if you dont lol, well done!
May 28th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
Its ok but i was trying ot place a bet and it wouldnt let me, then the odds changed as i was trying to place a bet so ive lost out…is it set up to do that!!!
May 28th, 2008 at 8:46 pm
Why does the price on the slip and the price on the screen not change at the same time when in running..??
This is a long running problem even with old slip.
May 28th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
why did you change the betting slip, this is rubbish, why try to fix something that is not broken!
i cancelled my account on two other sites.because your OLD slip was EASY to use.
May 28th, 2008 at 8:57 pm
far too small, and a big change without any notice, please change it back
May 28th, 2008 at 10:25 pm
Can you chance the football coupons at least? why does it pop up as soon as i pick the first team? ican you not just choose when it pops up?
May 28th, 2008 at 10:28 pm
Well from what I can gather by what web team says we are stuck with this
Probably cost a lot of money so we will be forced to like it just so some I.T guy gets out unscathed
The old betslip was fine and I think this talk of folk complaining about the old slip is just a cod
Change for change sake just Like the British Met who changed their forecast graphics on the beeb a few years back. That was another disaster but cost a lot of money so we all get told we really love it
May 28th, 2008 at 11:52 pm
You have been promising for two days that you would correct the problems encountered by Safari users and still we can’t get on a bet, new slip, old slip, any bloody slip. Your IT people have cocked-up big-time over this… you deserve to lose customers in droves.
May 29th, 2008 at 9:56 am
Expensive excercise in tinkering for all concerned. Could you not think of something else to spend your money on, more value for punters maybe? Oh and it’s rubbish by the way.
May 29th, 2008 at 12:52 pm
absolutely shocking. something u would expect from betfair or skybet not paddypower. change it or else i may look elsewhere.
May 29th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
The new slip cost me an 80-1 winner yesterday in John Terry and 2-0 england scorecast. I had the bet lined up but the new slip is not compatabile now with my works internet. boooo!
May 29th, 2008 at 2:13 pm
To be honest the new betting slip is garbage! I lost count of how many FTSE 100 bets i missed out on… BRING BACK THE OLD ONE! Paddy Power what you up to? Very angry customer.
May 29th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
Crap. Just selected 3 for an EW treble and *3 win doubles. Lost betslip and got completely confused. Gone to Ladbrokes and put on there.
May 29th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
Again, missing prices all the time!
I will be looking elsewhere.
Again, not what i expect from PP. Very disappointed, I will be telling my friends.
May 29th, 2008 at 5:23 pm
please change it
May 29th, 2008 at 5:29 pm
paddy,i thought you was here to earn money but you are losing so many customers and you have cost so many punters money. well youve cost me 600 and im not being blackmailed with a 50 freebet
May 29th, 2008 at 5:57 pm
thommo what d’ye mean “cost you 600″ as if ye knew the outcome of your bet!
May 29th, 2008 at 6:08 pm

(Note: we don’t support Opera but we will be trying to fix some problems we have uncovered in due course)
If you are still having problems it may due to the browser settings. Please contact our free customer support and they will help you. Some browser problems only occur on certain operating systems (e.g. Microsoft Windows Vista) so it may help to have those details as well.

May 29th, 2008 at 6:58 pm
Well done,I find it far easier and quicker than the old betslip.
May 29th, 2008 at 7:05 pm
Its much easier to use - well done
May 29th, 2008 at 7:14 pm
print far to small not very happy with new slip think ill go back to ladbrokes
May 29th, 2008 at 7:35 pm
The new betslip is terrible, text too small, font allout of sync with your website in general. Does nothing to assist the punter, who ultimately is the one who should be looked after. Your analysis and design team did little research here. Why did you not carry out a simple survey with your punters on how they felt about your website and payslip ? Or is that too much to ask ? Perhaps your development team advised otherwise so they make nice money out of this.

Third night where i have been unable to bet online despite calls to paddy power and promises of the matter being resolved. It seems Mac/safari users must go elsewhere to bet online and that’s what I’ll be doing.
I’m not going to close the account in the hope that the IT gobshites responsible for this are replaced and somebody else can make this work for non-’explorer’ internet users.
Good concept, no communication, poor implimentation - lost customer…
May 29th, 2008 at 8:17 pm
totally crap. bl@@dy useless.. give us the one back now. why change it paddypower??? come on get real.
May 29th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
Put 5 bets in running on the irish match. No problems…
May 29th, 2008 at 8:43 pm
Why change? but now that you have - text could be bigger- maybe a contrasting colour to make it stand out on the screen– bring back the ” steamers ” –
May 29th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
do not like
May 29th, 2008 at 10:30 pm
Prob take time 2 come to terms with it, as it will 4 every1. But ppl dnt like change an if u went back 2 old version i wudnt complain either. Paddy cud u start up a GOALS GALORE BET on fotie nxt yr. My local does it TOALS. Its wer both teams have to score in the same match. i.e liverpool 1 chelsea 1. It wud save me a trip 2 my local bookies. They do it 3teams=4/1 4teams=7/1 going up 2 6teams=25/1
ta paddy
May 29th, 2008 at 11:03 pm
Well judging from web team comments the vast majority will be silenced
Very un paddypower like
Why not put the thing to a vote?
May 30th, 2008 at 9:03 am
As far as Mac/Safari users are concerned we have received nothing but empty promises and downright incompetence from the idiots who have decided this is the way forward. P/P above says 99.5% users are betting, no trouble. Well if you believe in that you’ll believe in anything.

MAC/SAFARI users - I found out how to maybe get something done - close your account. It only takes one call and maybe if enough of us do it, they may realise that there are more than “0.5%” of us out there without access.
I decided to do in the end after reading the patronising message above from the web team and watching an equally patronising video on how to ‘use the bet slip’. Joined another online betting site with a similair type ’side bar’ bet slip and, surprise, surprise, my bets were taken.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:49 am
A lot of feedback we have received was about the size of the text on the Betslip. We have now increased this so it is the same as the other text on the site and you are right, it does look better.
We have also added in extra information to the Fore/Tricast options for racing bets so you can see the selections you have added and the order in which they will be placed.
Paddy has put together a new video tutorial to run though the new Betslip functionality. If you’re having problems placing bets, hopefully this will be helpful. Click on the image to launch the video.

the new one is obviously better than the old one cos you now have the option to “leave selections in the shopping basket”, so to speak, whereas before, you had to go thru and select them all again.
hate to knock PP, cos they are always massively customer-friendly, but despite this improvement, they are still not as user-friendly as others.
tell the I.T. team to try again - but dont go back to the old system!
May 30th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
It is absolutely rubbish and pointless to change - I can’t get it to work!
What was wong with the other system it worked just fine.
May 30th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
Lads, if ye can’t use the betslip go back te school as ye must be eejits!
May 31st, 2008 at 11:32 am
absolutely brill
May 31st, 2008 at 2:09 pm
what happened to the steamers?
May 31st, 2008 at 3:09 pm
The steamers page was removed temporarily to aid with the betslip release. It should be making a comeback soon.
June 4th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
The steamers are back!
June 4th, 2008 at 12:32 pm
so they are web monkey….so they are
June 5th, 2008 at 5:28 pm
stupid bet slip cost me a winner, keeps loading for ages and you never know if the bet is on or not until the race starts and then says error.
June 13th, 2008 at 10:13 pm
Doesn’t seem to be anywhere to post this comment that I can find, So! RULE bleedin 4. How is this allowed be, is it legal? Why O’ why are we punters punished for things beyond our control; We are not responsible if some muppet decides not to run horse or if some other anomaly occurs to prevent horse running
WE SHOULD CEASE BETTING ON HORSE RACING UNTIL WE ARE NO LONGER HELD TO RANSOM WITH RULE 4
I placed e20.00c win at 11/2 on ‘English City’ today. hours before race off; ‘English City’ won at 10/3; Due to RULE Bleedin 4, .40cent deduction in Euro; I ended with e86.00c instead of e130.00c; e44.00 bleedin Euro went to ???? who what where, certainly not to the person it should be going to, namely ME!!!!
WE SHOULD CEASE BETTING ON HORSE RACING UNTIL WE ARE NO LONGER HELD TO RANSOM WITH RULE 4
yours in frustration, Patrick, ps, Rightly upset so I am I am am so, bleedin multiplied by e44

Paddy, Paddy, Paddy, Royal Ascot ruined. I have Internet Explorer 6 and can’t get a bet on, except through the back door with the Racing Post. Loved Bet Slip video but a video on how to change the browser settings would be of more interest.
