So where to look? Crisis clubs Newcastle and Spurs have tough games against Everton and Hull respectively. Yes, with Hull having won at Arsenal last week I think its fair to say they are a tough game for bottom of the league Spurs. The other big game is arguably Chelsea v Aston Villa.
And it seems there’s as much going on off the pitch as on it at the moment with the FA’s Respect Campaign stumbling over it’s first hurdles, referees making decisions you wouldn’t see in Sunday League, the futures of David Moyes and Juande Ramos in question and managerless Newcastle going from one crisis to another.
And that’s just scratching the surface. We’ll take a look at your suggestions on Thursday afternoon and announce a winner shortly after.
Good luck!

Respect the ref campaign has seemingly gone out the window, so a market on which premier league manager will be next to be sent from the touchline would be appropriate.
Leading contenders:
David Moyes
Phil Brown
Arsene Whinger
Tony Pulis

You could have if Everton and Newcastle draw at half time, and Everton loose, then you could return all bets placed on correct goal, handicap and draw bets

ROB-BED-KEANE-IHO If Robbie Keane scores the winning goal you could refund all single win bets on Man City to win against the pool.SANTA CLAUSE if Santa Cruz scores the first goal and Blackburn go on to lose you could refund all single win bets on Blackburn against Man U

Gazza, Are you the dart player from Kilburn?
Don’t put your money on Ramos going so early. Levy would have to resign as he made a big play for him while stiffing Jol. The one to go should be the so called football director who keeps signing players the managers do not want.
Liverpool to finish 3rd is a good bet :-).

Ray, you missed out Fergie? Maybe you know with his intimidating style the refs would be too scared :-).

Will the bookmakers give good odds on Spurs beating Hull this weekend. You are bigging up Hull but, i bet the odds on the day say differant. Prepare to get burned if the odds reflect Spurs bottom & Hull top 6. Spurs were s*** again today & despite that i feel they will beat Hull come the weekend.
Just seen the odds 4/6 on Spurs 4/1 Hull. Just shows how yellow the bookies are. Put the boot in but don’t back it up with the odds. Then again maybe you want all the punters to get on Hull so you can fleece them knowing you have the Home win & Draw to fall back on….

| know my Blog is based on bad news for Juande Ramos Tony, but the facts speak for themselves - six league games and spurs have only four goals to their name and one of those was an own goal (also todays match it was an own goal that got them through).
It is their worst start for fifty years, so it may just of crossed the minds of one or two of the board that perhaps things are not that good right now and a change is required.
Hull on the other hand are playimg better away from home so 4/1 is sporting odds
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:03 pm
a team who has spent over 40 mill in the transfer market against a team who hardly have any cash. Spurs at home too, I would price that 1/2 at home, yeah the bookies are really yellow Tony
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:28 pm
on the eve of the euro 2008 qualifiers you could have
Battle of the English Midfields
which english midfielder will score first this week
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:30 pm
Since Hull are above Man U at this mo, should we expect a good price on Man U when the teams meet. I can see why you are a Spurs supporter now,
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:05 pm
Tony no point even qoutin fergie, never gets sent to touchline!
October 3rd, 2008 at 12:03 pm
Never just trust to the figure of what a club spends in the transfer market. Look deeper & you will find they hardly spent anything at Spurs because of the money they recieved on what they sold. They did bad business from january this year selling nearly all the strike force & a few other first team players. The big spenders to money recieved have always been the same 3 teams, Chelsea,Man.Utd & Liverpool. Liverpool to be fair have had to cut the cloth the last few years as their backers are a bit tight.
I agree with you Ray about Fergie, someone said he had mellowed these last few years as well…. We will see if their bad start continues in the league whether he has mellowed :-).
Best bet next year? Levy to sell Spurs.

Sorry Gazza, i thought you were someone i knew who supports Liverpool, that is why i mentioned darts & Kilburn.
No probs about your blog mate, i was just putting the main reason why Levy will not sack him too early. Reflects on his own judgement & he has to stick by Ramos for a lot longer than he may wish. They will turn it round but, it is going to be another average season for us.
