A bunch of top class former international stars are going to blow the dust off their boots, peel themselves off their padded TV studio sofas or perfectly air-conditioned club boardrooms to play a legends match between England and Ireland this Thursday (9th Oct.) 7.45pm at Craven Cottage and we’re giving away 5 pairs of tickets to this wonderful and never likely to happen ever again occasion.
The term ‘legend’ is thrown around all too often these days, but given the squads feature some real-life actual legends it’s appropriate in this case.
England
Peter Reid, Chris Woods, Mark Wright, Nigel Winterburn, Graeme Le Saux, Des Walker, Bryan Robson, Ray Parlour, Paul Merson, Rob Lee, Steve Hodge, Paul Walsh, Andy Sinton, Teddy Sheringham, Lee Sharpe, Dave Beasant
Ireland
Niall Quinn, Kelham O’Hanlon, Kenny Cunningham, Dennis Irwin, Curtis Fleming, Alan Kernaghan, Alan McLoughlin, Jason McAteer, Ray Houghton, Mark Kinsella, Liam O’Brien, Eddie McGoldrick, David Kelly, Frank Stapleton, John Byrne, Packie Bonner
It’s just like Madame Tussauds only these people will actually move around a bit*
(*not a real promise)
To be in with a chance of winning, simply tell us who the England and Ireland players - who coincidently will play in this match - are (ignore David Platt, he’s the one who looks like he’s trying to do a kung-fu mount of the player on the ground). That’s the England player on the ground and the Ireland player who’d probably do a better job of controlling the ball if he threw himself at it head-first.

Send your username and answer to competitions@paddypower.com and correct answers will go into a draw, which you’ll have a great chance of winning, because you look like the lucky sort. Don’t post the answer below - that only helps the opposition and it’s not an proper entry.
Competition closes at 2pm Wednesday 8th October
Go on, enter - the high quality of the post-match analysis will be worth it on its own!
