So the X Factor row has been escalating to the House of Commons with Culture Secretary Andy Burnham stating Laura had been “harshly” treated by the judges.
Have politicians not got more pressing issues to talk about?! I really wish everyone would stop talking about Laura already. The fact of the matter is there are some seriously good acts this year and while I’m not exactly Ruth Lorenzo’s number 1 fan, she has progressed an awful lot since her first audition. I can really see her going further than Laura as a recording artist, and for that reason she deserved to stay on Saturday. Good choice Louis!
All week, people have been asking me who I think will win this year’s X Factor and I guess my answer is only going to add fuel to the flames that this year’s series is a little bias. I’m going to nail my colours to the mast and say this year’s winner will be Diana Vickers.
With YouTube views averaging 500,000 she is by far the most popular X Factor contestant this year. She’s cute, she’s quirky and she sings in her bare feet for God sake! She was given a golden ticket on Saturday into next weeks show due to a bad dose of laryngitis but even if she had performed there would be absolutely no danger, in my opinion, of her being in the bottom two.
With over 5 weeks to go until the final my prediction might be a little premature, but I’m convinced Diana is the one to beat. Alexandra is probably her only real threat and her style is too similar to that of Leona Lewis. At Even money, Diana is the deserved favourite,and I’d recommend you snap her up before she goes odds-on!
For those of you who are still miffed over Laura’s departure you can have 20/1 on her being brought back due to public demand!

It was the biggest injustice ever that Laura was kicked off, it was about the mentors protecting their shit acts that are left. All Ruth is a pair of tits, which will only get you so far in this world, and the fact you claim she would go further as a recording artist must mean you’re tone deaf. She might have progressed since the start, but when you are not that good, to become a tad better than before, isn’t nothing to write home about. Laura has the best voice, fact! Now X-factor is not just a singing contest, I understand that now. The fact that we have a smack head still in, coupled with a fella who lost his beloved wife (boo hoo), but has kids to a couple of other women who doesn’t have a note in his head indicates this show is a joke. Simon has already signed Dianna to a big contract, so the race is over. This is the girl who was screaming at the top of her voice on camera on Bonfire night, but was allegedly sick all week, do the math

Well I don’t wanna get anyones back up but I think JLS are the best. Laura was a bit tubby to be a superstar. I think we’ll see JLS in the final with either Diana or Eoghan. yay

the truth is laura had no appeal for the public - hence she didn’t get enough votes to stay in. if you can’t appeal to the public then you don’t deserve to stay in - simple.

and don’t forget the judges make their decisions based on the sing-off performance. ruth put in a fantastic passionate performance of the classic - knockin’ on heaven’s door, laura put in a dreary dull performance of the overplayed over the rainbow.

laura bored me to tears mike. the “best voice” is not necessarily about glorified shouting and vocal gymnastics - but about how you interpret the song and connect with the audience. diana entertains and i’d genuinely tune in to the show if there were no pictures. laura, alex and the other plastic charisma-free ballad crunchers make no appeal and have no chance of winning the competition.
if you’re going to have a bet on this, do yourself a favour and listen to tonton - after all i did tip up diana at 10/1 to win this. diana and eoghan will fight out the final two, with JLS in third. the deadwood will be eliminated before them.

i think everyone said she would struggle in michael jackson week, big band week and disco week - yet she destroyed each time.
top class filly who was a non-runner last week after coughing, will appreciate the step up in trip, slighty quirky but with a strong jockey is a good thing in this race. likely to figure in major international meetings in the future.

to be perfectly honest i said Laura was going to go she has been shit for ages & cat sing a not e she had no appeal to the public seems as she was like a size 14 who wore size 8 clothes. Her second performance was awful to whilst Ruth blew her out of the water.
Laura was dreary.
She was awful & i was sick of her squack turned wannabe black gospel singer spin on every song she didnt have the voice and should have been kicked out when she did that crap version of black to black better yet not even been given a pass to bootcamp.
Sorry but she was awful and really could not sing.

Rachel is awful, JLS not much better. I hate the diana hand thing - why can’t she keep them away from her face!!!? Her voice flits from very nasal to squeaky child and I can’t stand it. Eoghan or Alexandra or Ruth deserve to win.
