If Danni Minogue has a problem dealing with idiotic chirpy Irishmen she should count her blessings she doesn’t work in Paddy Power. We’re surrounded by them. I’ll have to admit that I’m not sure what exactly went on behind the scenes last week, but whatever it was can’t have justified a full on hissy fit on national television - can it?


Cards on the table, Danni has always been my favourite Minogue sister. She’s got that certain something that I just can’t put my finger on - because apparently that would be illegal. But the pressure appears to be getting to her. She lost Rachel last week and you’d have to fancy her sole remaining act (Ruth) to be next to leave - she’s currently even money to do just that.


I suppose that as long as Eoghan and Diana continue to benefit from musical ‘arrangements’ that make it impossible to hear them actually doing any singing, and the judges continue to fawn on them every week, it looks like the public are going to keep on voting for them. Diana is 6/4 and Eoghan is 2/1 so this could go right down to the wire. Maybe Alexandra should adopt the Sergeant strategy and start butchering the classics in order to pick up some public support.


There’s one other possible reason for poor Danni’s emotional state: persistent rumours that she’s about to be unceremoniously bumped off the show. Things have reached such a state that we’re already betting on who’ll replace her, with Robbie Williams a 4/1 favourite to switch his attentions from ghosts, angels and ufos to something slightly less credible.
