We’re guessing most Chelsea fans are about as happy about last night’s goings on as Didier “IT’S A F**KING DISGRACE” Drogba. So we’re refunding all bets on Chelsea to win last night’s match and reach the final of the Champions League!
Four penalty claims denied - at least one of which could not have been more blatant, plus the absolute heartbreak of conceding in the 3rd minute of injury time after a fantastic defensive effort over 180 minutes.
It’s not fair, but it’s the rules. But as always the punter’s pal is prepared to bend those rules a little. A bit like the referee last night in fact.

Its no surprise. UEFA never wanted Chelsea in the finals. It would be a disgrace and open conspiracy if Drogba and Chelsea are fined by UEFA for their conduct. It was out of frustration. If diving was not a penalty, what about hand balls in the penalty area and the foul on Malouda, taken by the ref out of the penalty area into a free kick? It think referees from the best leagues(Spain, Italy, England, Germany, France, Netherlands) should referee big games like UEFA Champions Leagues Semi Finals.

It should be remembered that Henry should have had a penalty and Ballack sent off in the first game, that and the wrong dismissal of Abidal evens it up a bit

You wont believe how happy this announcement made me. This is a top move & I congratulate Paddy Power for making this decision.
BTW I am from Australia & didn’t place any bets nor have any accounts with you but its great to see some people / business care about what’s right & wrong instead of just worrying about collecting the cash.

I am annoyed that I bet on Barca to win the game and that even though they played terribly, they got the most unfair red card I have ever seen. The whole game was injustice for both teams I thought.

Surely the place part of an each way bet on Chelsea to win the Champions League should qualify for a refund as the place money is staked on Chelsea to qualify for the final - which they would have done had the referee not been blind. But PP still gives better concessions than other bookies

chelsea was the better team during 90 minutes, but the only penalty they should have had was the handball on Piqute…sorry shit happens and Barca scored in the last overtime minute…nothing more to say about that. I understand the fustration from the chelsea, its a hard to loos in the semis last minute concerning the loss to Man U in last years final. But fact is that a penalty doesnt mean that auto score a goal..soo drogba should grow up! take some manner lessons. Everybody have bad day at work even the reff, and drogba didnt do his part as striker and scored a goal for chelsea..

I had money on Chelsea to win (as part of a double with Manchester United winning) and also had a bet on a penalty being scored, so I’m doubly sick and don’t think I’ll be getting anything back, despite PP’s gracious offer. If I had the address of that ref I’d send him the bill for my winnings myself!

Well i only had a fiver on Chelsea…however im delighted Paddy Power have refunded it,the amount is irrelevant its the fact they have put us its customers before profit.
Hey considering the current climate regards the recession i think Paddy power are an example too all the other bookies.

it was a pitty for chelsea. in my opinion there was only one real penalty (pique’s hand), but if chelsea wants to be one the best teams in europe they coludn’t replace drogba for belletti while you’re one more player… that change is understood if you are a small team…
it’s a mistake of a team scared of winning. chelsea was the best team last wednesday but barcelona’s football concept is the best for the future of football.
