The good news is that we’re offering 7 places for each way bets on the British Open again….the bad news is…..actually there’s no bad news!
Forgive the rant, but it’s an effing disgrace that in this day and age the so called ‘bookmaking superpowers’ only offer 5 places on the Open, they should be called crookmakers. In golfing terms it’s like being offered a 3 foot gimme and deciding instead to putt it, with a piece of rope and your eyes closed.
Tiger is ominously back in form and considering he’s as short as 2/1, most will be looking for big prices each way to get involved.
Now it just remains to be see who of the crookies will follow suit…..
Be lucky!

tiger’s right back on form and the great man will no doubt go close, but i could see poults putting up a big performance. did well last year, showed some good form in france, and with a nice warm up in the scottish open (get on each-way!) he’s got to have a chance in the open!! GO ON POULTS!!

lfc lad - brian gay must have a good chance. i’m on tim clark myself - great course record and in decent form this season. has every chance but i’d probably be happy with a top 6 finish.

Before Paddy Power congratulate themselves too much on paying 7 places, remember over 120 golfers tee off, 60ish will make the cut so you should really be paying 10 places ( at least)!!!.
Ross Fisher is in excellent form as is Martin Kaymer but Tiger will be surely there or thereabouts. Big outside value- Markus Brier!!

Lee Westwood at 25/1 Great bet each way
Outsiders Dave Duval at 80/1 and the 2 big hitters from usa with the strange names
Bubba Watson and Boo Weekley at around 150/1 should provide some fun

The MAN in great form, great OPEN records and what a steady player. What more to ask for in a OPEN CHAMPION!
Go Furyk!

Some people are never happy Catherine, with tipping like that no wonder you need 10 places!

Remember the tipster that was laughed off the course when he tipped Lucas Glover to win the US open.!!!!!! Also fellow no-hopers Todd Hamilton and Ben Curtis were available at huge prices prior to their wins so anything can happen Savo…and sometimes
does

woop woop profitable wknd with Snedeker getting a place at big odds, els nearly sneaked one as well. Has anyone ever tried the 3ball and 2ball betting? Great way to make cash by following players in form and suited to the course rather than players higher in world rankings. For the open the draw is crucial with the weather. Think il stick with Els for the Open, throw in Leonard, Hansen and Edfors at big odds. Villegas to lead after day one
