Twenty years on from England’s best ever European Championship appearance we were scratching our heads. No one at Paddy Power has ever achieved more than the South Dublin over 30’s five-a-side champions. We needed to get someone to tell us about England. So who better to ask about their chances for this year than the man who played over 800 games in a career littered with achievements? Luckily enough we have one of those men. Teddy Sheringham played 51 times for England including at Euro 96, scoring 11 times, to add to a club career which saw him pick up nine trophies, a Premier League Golden Boot and a deserved spot in the English football Hall of Fame. Teddy’s already given us his opinion on his combined Best XI from England’s 1996 and 2016 teams as well as why Wayne Rooney needs to be a bit more dirty at this year’s championships.
