A manager in Mexico’s Liga MX has landed himself in hot water for stepping onto the field of play to tackle an opposition player during a derby contest.

The incident sparked wild scenes during the so-called ‘Clasico Nacional’ between Club America and Chivas Guadalajara yesterday.

It all took place in the 76th minute as Chivas midfielder Jesus Sanchez ran down the line with the ball after the referee had blown his whistle. This caused Club America manager Ricardo La Volpe to spring from his technical area and whip the ball from under Sanchez’s feet.

Of course, a shoving match between both sets of players ensued, with La Volpe being sent to the stands over causing the incident.

He’s now expected to pick up a potential six-game ban for his troubles and his outfit still lost the game 1-0 in the end.

It’s not our favourite incident of sh**housery from a manager however, that accolade goes to current Man United boss Jose Mourinho – who once took out pop star Olly Murs in a charity game.

Any excuse to whip out this classic again is worth taking:
