Oklahoma City Energy are not a team we’re really familiar with here in Power Tower, but after seeing their winner from last night we’re wondering where we can sign up to become a fan.
That’s because the United Soccer League club scored one of the most audacious goals you are ever likely to set eyes on during their 1-0 victory over Sacramento Republic.
Energy’s Michael Harris started the move with a perfectly performed flip throw-in with just about a half hour on the watch.
After a Sacramento defender attempted to repel the ambitious throw his header would only fall into the path of Oklahoma City striker Miguel Gonzalez, who was unmarked in the box with his back to goal.
Gonzalez then proceeded to dispatch an amazing bicycle kick into the bottom corner to amazingly seal one of the most brilliant goals we’ve ever seen. You can watch the strike in all its glory below:
