Retired Chelsea midfielder Craig Burley has launched a stinging tirade against Arsenal fans on ESPN, labelling them “spineless”.
Burley’s rant comes in the wake of Gary Neville’s criticism of an Arsenal supporter who held up a sign calling for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to quit at their game with Chelsea last weekend, branding the fan an “idiot”.
As Arsenal’s struggles and their supporters seem to be the topic of the moment, the former Celtic star decided to make them the focus of an explosive issue of his ‘Burley’s Boiling Point’ segment.

In it the Scot calls the team’s performance at Stamford Bridge “embarrassing” and says fans of the North London outfit are “spineless” and “weak”.
“I’m telling you, Arsenal fans: you are spineless,” said Burley on the programme.
“You are the mirror image of your team – weak, mentally weak. They follow their club across Europe and up and down the country in England, and they accept the mediocrity – and it is mediocrity, by a club of that standard getting in the top four.”
