There are three horses that get the nod from almost all of our tipsters - and there are some strong opinions on the Grand National

The Grand National has arrived at last. 40 horses, 30 fences, more than four miles and melee of frantic excitement at Aintree.

To try and pick through the field, as well as giving you a pointer in the other C4 races, out top team of racing pundits put their knowledge to the test. Two-time Grand National winning jockey Ruby Walsh, At The Races presenter Matt Chapman, our gaffer Paddy Power, and a horse racing trader from the second floor make up our crack team of tipsters hunting out a few winners on Saturday.

It’s no surprise that the three red-hot odds-on shots are all well fancied, with our team of tipsters struggling to get away from the trio of Yorkhill, Douvan, and Thistlecrack. Although with the prices on show they’re not three horses that’ll make you rich in a hurry.

From then on it’s anyone’s guess. In the Grand National Ruby Walsh has hopped off Boston Bob and onto Sir Des Champs who he thinks has a nice weight on his back. Paddy Power has had his eye caught by Home Farm at a monster price, while Matt Chapman thinks there is more to come from the impressive The Last Samuri. Our PP Trader downstairs can’t get away from last year’s winner Many Clouds, and fancies a little slice of history this weekend, with Many Clouds winning back-to-back Nationals.

It’s one of the most unpredictable races of the year, but hopefully it doesn’t stop a few of us picking out the winner!
