So what are RSS Feeds?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. . In simple terms RSS Feeds allow you to receive updates from your favourite websites whenever new content is added. These feeds are in a standard format so they can be read using software called an “RSS reader”.


Is it just for Geeks?

Traditionally RRS feeds were for web geeks. They had their little RSS language and they could send information to one another. However in the past 2 years RSS feeds have become more popular thanks to iGoogle, My Yahoo, PageFlakes and many more companies that have simple to use RSS readers.

These companies make it easy to add feeds to your customisable home pages. So now on one page you can have the latest news from Google News regarding Horse Racing along side Ante-post Price changes. Or you can have the upcoming Live Betting Schedule next to your TV Guide from free sites like http://www.livesportontv.com.
