For the first time this series, Scarlett Moffatt is no longer Paddy Power’s favourite to win the show – after she was overtaken by Emmerdale star Adam Thomas, who has starred in a succession of entertaining Bushtucker Trials.
Adam has shot up the betting, now priced at 5/4, after capturing the imagination of viewers for his distinctive laugh and unique way of managing trials – mostly stammering nonsensical words and noises.
Scarlett remains second in the betting (9/4), while comedian Joel is next in contention (5/1).
Overall, most of the contestants have drifted in the betting today, with two exceptions: favourite Adam, and least favourite Martin, who has been slashed in from 33/1 to 22/1 overnight to win.

The TV presenter shouldn’t get too carried away just yet, though, as he’s also joint-favourite to be first eliminated tonight – he and Lisa are both 9/4 to go. Jordan (3/1), Danny (10/1), and Wayne (10/1) are also amongst those considered at risk.
Spokesman Paddy Power said: “With his infectious laughter, weird made-up language, and general enthusiasm, it’s not hard to see why Adam is thriving in the jungle, despite being massively scared of spiders.
“But forget arachnophobia, the biggest fear for most camp mates must be Martin Roberts staying beyond this weekend.”
